Couples Therapy | Relationship Counseling | Marriage Counseling | Pasadena | California

I work with couples in different stages of life who are facing a variety of challenges. Whether you are a couple who’s in a long term relationship, newly weds, or have been married for many years, I can help improve the quality of your relationship. Often couples reach out because they are having communication problems. Often, these communication problems have been going on for a long time and couples feel stuck, unsure of how to make things better.

If you’ve been having the same “blow up” fights over and over again, you are likely stuck in a negative cycle.

I know how painful this could be. You are doing your best to make things better and nothing is working. This can feel discouraging and after trying to no avail you might even be giving up. You might say to yourself “I’m just not going to get my needs met in this relationship” or “it is what it is so I’m just going to stop trying”.

The fighting is so exhausting.

You may start to disconnect from your partner to protect yourself. But it’s so hard being disconnected from your partner. Its so hard not feeling seen, heard, or understood by the person you love. It can be painfully lonely to be so disconnected.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a kind of therapy that works from an attachment perspective. This means the focus of the therapy is on helping you and your partner create a secure and deep connection with one another. This is the most profound change your relationship can experience. It will transform the way you and your partner relate to one another on the deepest level.

This is different than traditional couples therapy where you might work on tasks like communication skills. This therapy gets to the root, the insecurity in the relationship, and restructures it. Once there is a secure bond, positive communication and interactions will naturally follow. Couples who have completed EFT treatment are more accessible, responsive, and engaged with one another.

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, please don’t hesitate to reach out. It’s my honor and privilege to help you be in the relationship you deserve.
